Loving Husband, Father and Son and Grandson


With out a word of warning in Tacoma, Washington PFC Daquan Foster of New Rochelle passed away suddenly on October 29th 2017. Daquan was 22 years old. He was born in the Bronx on September 13th,1995 to Joseph Foster and Dawn Whitley. The oldest of four children Daquan was a loving, loyal and smart child. He had a magnetic personality which helped him to make friends everywhere he went. Daquan was raised in New Rochelle where he attended New Rochelle schools. While attending school Daquan enjoyed many sports. He loved baseball and enjoyed football. He pushed hard in sports and failure was not an option. In 2013.
Daquan graduated from New Rochelle High School before working locally at various jobs in New Rochelle. While working in New Rochelle Daquan met his wife of under two years; Olivia Brown. It was love at first sight and a memory she will ever forget. Daquan's handsome looks and quick wit wooed Olivia over. They would marry in November of 2015. A few months after their wedding Daquan enlisted in the Army and set off to serve his country. He went to basic training and then went to AIT. He was part of 1-14 Calvary squadron. It was a proud moment for Daquan, but the bigger moment was yet to come. While serving in the Army Daquan's wife gave birth to his first son; Daquan Jr.
Daquan will be remembered as a determined gentleman who loved his country. He was family oriented and generous. A great husband, a loving father and a proud son. He will be remembered by his fellow soldiers as a "corn fed giant" who loved to workout and eat.
Daquan leaves behind his wife Olivia, his son Daquan Jr., his daughters; Cherish and Sani'i, his parents; Joseph and Dawn, his sisters; Dejanee, Janaye and Liana Foster, his grandparents; Donald & Cynthia Whitley, His many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Daquan's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue Pelham NY on Friday, November 10th, from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service with full Military honors will take place at the Woolworth Chapel in Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx NY on Saturday November 11th at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
