Eleanor (Helen) Attinello, passed away on the morning of April 15, 2021. She was born on February 20, 1931 in the Bronx, N.Y., to Dominick & Maria (Scagliane) Miniaci, a few months after arriving by boat from Calabria, Italy.
Helen, graduated 1948 from Christopher Columbus High School, where she met the Love of Her Life, John Joseph Attinello. They were married on April 20th, 1952 and were inseparable ever since. Helen's pride was her family and friends (which she had many). Helen went on to raise two boys and then was blessed with 4 grandchildren that she adored and 3 great grandchildren, she would have loved just as much.
Known in her earlier days for cooking family meals and her famous cookies, made her very happy to serve the ones she loved. Not one to hold back on her words, made her that more special to all that loved her so much.
Helen is survived by her husband John of 69 years of marriage, her son John and his wife Marie, her son Paul and his wife Kathleen, her beloved grandchildren Anthony (Leigh), Gina (William), Paul (Carolyn) & Julia, her great grandchildren Ethan, Eva & Madison. She is also survived by her nieces & nephews who all held a special place in her heart and will be forever "Aunt Helen" to them.
