Condolence & Memory Journal

Today I lay the most loved person in my life to rest. My dad was devoted to his family, kind hearted, loving, full of love, laughter and happiness. I will miss his smile, his jokes and I will miss hearing his voice repeating the same stories all the time.

He trail blazed his way through life and always found a way to get things done. I will always remember the intense work he did and his hard working hands which were never idle even at 86 years of age. I was always in awe and adored my Dad. He was my hero. He was my strongest supporter and he always had my back. He raised me to strive for success and to be proud of our culture and of who and what I am.

I am grateful that you gave me life. I am grateful that you shielded and protected me from some of life's harshest lessons. I am grateful that you gave me knowledge to help me navigate life's invaluable lessons.

Dad, I wish I had one more chance to tell you I love you, hug you and kiss you. I am in pain but I know this will pass. I will carry your devotion to family, love of life, acceptance of others, and work ethic with me.

I want you to rest your soul - pain free, regret free, satisfied and at ease. You lived a very full life. I love you dad and I'll always be your proud and grateful daughter. You have touched the lives of many and today you leave a void in my heart no one can ever fill. There are no good-byes, your memories will live on forever and you will always be in my heart.

"Go rest high."
