Tribute & Message From The Family

Frank M. Gillick, a long time resident of Pelham passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. He was 61 years old. Born in New York, NY to John and Dorothy Cunningham Gillick, Frank was one of four children. He was raised in the Bronx where he attended St. Brendan's Grammer School and Mount Saint Michael Academy High School. After graduating the Mount, Frank attended Herbert H. Lehman College where he studied business.

Frank started in the financial services industry at a young age. He spent most of his 34 year career in securities operations, followed more recently as a financial advisor.

It was in his early years that he met his wife of 35 years, Mary Brandt. They met at a family wedding and married at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in 1985. The couple lived in the Chester Park area of Pelham, with a 12 year stretch in Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Frank loved cooking, playing basketball in his younger years and golf. He was a veracious reader, and was well versed on a variety of subjects. He enjoyed investing in the market and making people laugh. His comedic side included a variety of dialects. Some of his favorite memories were hosting and attending family and friend gatherings, living in Florida and traveling to Ireland. He was very proud of his Irish heritage.

Frank will be remembered as funny, knowledgeable and protective. If he loved you, he really loved you. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Frank is survived by his wife, Mary, his brother, Jim, and sister Kathy (Rick) Segers, his brothers-in-law, Steve Brandt and Rick Segers and his sisters-in-law, Gail Brandt and Pat Brandt, his nieces and nephews, including Kelly Brandt, Larken Root, Chris Brandt, Meaghan (Michael) Kelvy, Samantha Brandt, Lindsey Brandt, Kim (Matt) Fazackerley, Tim (Cindy) Gillick, Patrick Gillick and Ricky Segers. He is predeceased by his parents, John and Dorothy, his brother, John, and nephew, John.

A private Celebration of Frank's life will be held at the Pelham Funeral Home on Monday January 18, followed by a Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Pelham Manor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Frank's name to Calvary Hospital. For more information or to leave a condolence please visit

Dear Mary so sorry to hear about the loss of Frank. I am reminded of an Irish prayer "Death leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal." Prayers from all your friends at The ICE.
