Tribute & Message From The Family

Born to Cecil Edgar Taitt and Clerin Agatha Taitt on April 4th 1966.
As a young boy people who knew him always noticed how attached he was to his mom, almost inseparable. If you paid them a visit first you had to deal with the family dog Rilo who didn't like anyone regardless of family . And once Clerin greeted you Cecil would be behind her skirt peeking out shyly. One would think that he would grow to be a shy Youngman, not so.
Growing up he attended All saints school on Madison avenue in Harlem and then Cardinal Hayes and Julia Richman HS. After completing High School he sort out to discover the world of Harlem which he became a true son.
Not long after he obtained a job at the Bellevue men's shelter and later he joined the NYC Traffic bureau where he met and Married his wife Lisa Taitt. After a few years in Traffic he moved on to become a bus driver with New York Bus service in the Bronx. He would tell us stories of driving up and down the expressway to Manhattan.
After about eight years the bus company merged with the MTA and he became an MTA express bus driver out of Queens depot. The stories continued. During these years he and Lisa traveled when they could to places like Puerto Rico and Florida key west, we all enjoyed the pictures that he would send from his phone. Always a picture of a big plate of food, normally a huge fish. And some trips were with family Cecil and Derrick and wives did travel a little up and down the Northeast. On one trip to Boston, we were partying so hard that Lisa had to drive back or we would still be there today.`
Cecil leaves behind a loving wife Lisa Tait, Two daughters Tiana and Taylorann Taitt, One son Tameek One stepdaughter Sakhia Hurst( the Artist) Two brothers Alva and Earl and Cousins Wayne and Rodney and also his cousin Derrick Taitt. His special crew Livingston, Phil and Dion and hundreds of Friends who really cared for him.
You're in God's hands now Brother Cecil, no more Pain!!!

My cousin... I am in utter shock & disbelief that I am here typing this. I wish we could have stayed in contact. You were a favorite cousin of mine. Full of life, vibrant, hilarious, amazing work ethic. My mom Mona Taitt sends her condolences to the rest of the family and friends. Be steadfast in your faith, whatever it may be.
