He had quick wit and a good sense of humor.

Seamus Ward of McLean Ave, Yonkers NY passed away on February 4th 2020. He was 59 years old. Seamus was born in Glanamaddy Co Galway to Patrick and Mary Ward. He had 3 brothers and four sisters. He was raised in Glenamaddy where he attended Lisheen National School and later Glenamaddy Technical School. Upon graduation Seamus immigrated to London where he would take up a job in construction. He later immigrated to the Bronx where he settled in Woodlawn before moving to McLean Avenue.

Seamus worked for King Hoist most of his career where he erecting scaffolding and did construction work. In his spare time he loved to play Gaelic football and golf. If he wasn't playing golf on the course you could find him buying and selling clubs to his friends in the club house.

Seamus will be remembered as a funny, smart and simple person. He had quick wit and a good sense of humor. It should be noted he was an avid Galway fan always wearing his Galway jersey.

Seamus is survived his siblings; Mary, Ann, Bernadette, Patrick and Tommy. He is also survived by his 15 nephews and nieces. A celebration of Seamus's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home located at 64 Lincoln Avenue in Pelham on Saturday February 8th from 4-8pm. Seamus will be repatriated home to Glenamaddy on Sunday February 9th where he will be laid to rest with his parents and siblings Bill and Patricia.
