Tribute & Message From The Family

Elizabeth Anne Kane passed away on Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was 56 Years old.

Born in New Rochelle, New York on May 31st 1963 to George and Emily Kane, Elizabeth was raised in Pelham where she attended Siwanoy School before graduating from Pelham Memorial High School in 1981. She then obtained a Bachelors degree from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1985.

To say Elizabeth was a loyal and dedicated person would be an understatement. She began her career as a bond trader for Legg Mason in New York. She moved to their corporate headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland and became director of Fixed Income Syndicate.

Elizabeth returned to Pelham and turned her talents to several local organizations, including the Board of The Manor Club and the Fairways Condominium board. Previously she had been president of The Corporate Bond Traders Club of New York.

Elizabeth will be remembered as resilient, bright and a forward thinking lady. She was described by a friend as "genuine and strong with an air of mystery". She had a quick wit and a warm caring personality.

Elizabeth leaves behind her Mother; Emily Kane, her sisters Emily Mather (Mark) and Nancy Howard as well as her loving nieces and nephews: Matthew, Elizabeth and Jennifer Mather and William and Emily Howard. She is predeceased by her father George. She will be missed by everyone she knew.

A celebration of Elizabeth's life will take place on Saturday, September 7th at 3pm at the Manor Club located at 1023 Esplanade in Pelham Manor, New York. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Elizabeth's name to The Manor Club or a charity of your choice. For more information or to leave a condolence, please visit pelhamfuneral.com
