Tribute & Message From The Family

David will be remembered as a kind, handsome, generous and genuine gentleman.

David O'Sullivan of New Rochelle, NY passed away on Saturday September 22, 2018.

Born in the Bronx to David Jerome O'Sullivan and Anna Maikish, David was the oldest of three children. He was raised in the Bronx where he attended St Helena's High School. Upon graduation he worked as an actor for several agencies. It was during his acting tenure that he would meet his soulmate Dorothy Galligan. After a short courtship, the couple would be engaged and later marry.

David and Dorothy would live on 57th street in Manhattan before moving to New Rochelle in 1986. David was a self made man, working many different careers. From the acting and modeling business, to the bar business and later owning a jewelry store in Queens, David was a man of many talents. Although he worked many jobs, his true passion was acting.

David loved everything nautical. He loved to spend time at the ocean or sit at the beach. If he wasn't traveling or going to the theatre with his wife you could catch him rooting for the Yankees or the NY Giants. He travelled the world and especially loved Ireland and Italy.

David will be remembered as a kind, handsome, generous and genuine gentleman. He loved to dream. He had no false ego and was always there to help a friend in need.

David is survived by his wife and soulmate Dorothy, his brother Stephen, his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Bobby.

A celebration of David's life will take place at the Pelham Funeral Home, located at 64 Lincoln Avenue, Pelham, NY, on Thursday, September 27th from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Augustine's Church, 18 Cherry Ave, Larchmont NY on Friday, September 28th at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private. We will miss Dave. May God Bless, Cousin Rob Kwiatkowski
